Number 36 Radio Apprentice Course (No. 36 RAC) is a group of men who joined the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in 1982 to train as electronics technicians. 


52 apprentices began training and 37 graduated. The Graduation took place in 1984 and in some cases these folks have not seen each other since. Another member graduated at a later date.


Reunion 2002 (20 years on) took place 18 - 20Jan – a good time was had by all.


  • Friday, 18 Jan 02, 6pm - get together for beers      and yarns at The Brewery (Queens wharf Newcastle NSW, over the road from      Newcastle railway station). Ex-course members only.

  • Saturday, 19 Jan 02, 7pm - Dinner at Customs House      (next to Newcastle Railway station) afterwards at one of the many night      clubs/pubs where a band is playing. Ex-course members and partners.

  • Sunday, 20 Jan 02, 11am - Recovery BYO BBQ Nobbys      Foreshore park (just up the road from Customs house). Ex-course members      and families.
